Grant Lawton Turner (born 7 October 1958 in New Zealand) was an association football player who represented New Zealand 42 times in A-internationals from 1980 to 1988,[2] [3] scoring 14 goals.[4] A midfielder with an aggressive playing style, Turner was a no nonsense ball winner and runner who had an eye for goal. He was capable of playing in attack if called upon to do so.

Turner was a member of the All Whites at the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain, where they lost all 3 group games to Scotland, USSR and Brazil, but did not play in the finals due to an injury sustained soon after arrival in Spain.[3]
